I plan on adding a new wood in the shop which is a beautiful addition to our offerings.....Grenadilla. It has a beautiful grain pattern and finishes up beautifully. See the sample box here:

Current Project

We are currently working on a Kingwood concertina with ebony trim. It will be complete with "cut-away" handles, also capped with ebony. The body is complete and I am applying the finish. The reedpans of this "Heritage" model (using English-style reeds) are well along in construction. As with all my instruments, it will have a seven-fold bellows finished with Goat nappa leather. The end grills will be polished stainless. It will not be too long before it will be displayed on this blog. All my instruments are hand-crafted and made to order. Many of them are unique in appearance. I can make your instrument according to request, with whichever wood / wood combination you request. These instruments are heirloom quality and can be passed down to the next generation. We also make the Professional Model concertinas which are constructed using hand-made (a mano)Italian-style reeds. Please e-mail me for price lists or other inquiries.

Kingwood with Spalted Maple Trim

Here is an instrument just finished this week.....Kingwood with spalted maple trim, and matching handles. Kingwood is a species of rosewood, and has a distinct grain.
