New Heritage Model Available Immediately

This kind of situation occurs from time to time due to the economy. I was about a week from completing one of my concertina-reeded instruments when the customer notified me that due to financial pressures he was unable to take delivery on that instrument. It is now available right away. It is solid ebony, with a solid hardwood reedpan, steel concertina reeds in brass frames, early 20th century design grill etc. I recently took it to the Squeeze-in in Massachusetts where it got very good reviews from knowledgable players. Please send me an e-mail at fedgley@cogeco.ca if you would like more details, or call me at 519-991-3100.

Trade -ins Accepted on Certain Models

My aim, over the past 14 years has been to make the best concertinas I can make. I haven't been in the market to trade in used instruments. However, I realise that well-made concertinas are not inexpensive. I would like to help out in this regard. Other makers are giving full purchase price of a Rochelle purchased from them to be applied to the purchase price of a new concertina. For a limited number of instruments I am offering this:

I will give credit of a Rochelle, in good condition, as a trade-in towards any concertina I make. The amount I give will be determined by the price of the model concertina they select. In other words 10% of the final purchase price of any model. A Session Box would get a $230 reduction in price, and other Italian-reeded concertinas models a 10% trade-in credit on the price of that model. The Heritage model, with the current price of approximately $4300 would receive a $430 credit on the purchase price. Your Rochelle would be sent to me two weeks before the shipping date of the new instrument for me to make sure it is in good working order. The invoice would be sent to the purchaser with the 10% reduction applied. This offer would is good for the first three people who apply for it, only. If you are interested, please e-mail me at fedgley@cogeco.ca .

The 2013 Squeeze-in (NESI)

I will be attending the 2013 Squeeze-in on September 27th to the 29th. I will have a couple of concertinas for fellow squeezers to try out, as well as a few CDs. I hope to see you there. I will be doing a few workshops on the anglo, as well. Initial plans are to teach a sand jig from the minstrel era, as well as a Lancashire clog dance.

Heritage #406

Destined for Ireland.....
UPDATE: The concertina has now arrived and I have received the following e-mail:

"I got the concertina today!
The concertina looks more beautiful than I expected, and the sound...I'm surprised about it.
Because it is quick response, it catches nuance of player's expression.
I felt like concertina sang a song when I played first time.
I will play this long time in my life and treat it carefully.
Really thank you so much for making the beautiful concertina.
Best Wishes,
N.K.

I appreciates feedback like this. Thank you, N.K.
